Described in the Nashville press as the “Scottish Songbird”, Jill Jackson is a singer songwriter from Paisley who brings her own unique style to the contemporary country music genre. As a solo artist her acoustic Americana is far removed from the music she made as the front-woman of rock band Speedway, with whom she scored two top ten hits in 2004. But one thing remains the same: she’s still a girl with a guitar and a voice you won’t forget. From rock chick to rising country star Jill has been gigging and recording as a solo artist since 2005. She has toured with Natalie Imbruglia and supported musicians such as Albert Lee, Roger McGuinn and Bryan Adams. Not only a talented performer, Jill is also known for her work as a songwriter and former Spice Girl Melanie C cut two of Jill’s songs for her fourth solo album.
